In its constant quest for improvement, Maison Sichel has adopted an original and holistic approach to the wine-making process.
In 1883, Sichel moved to Bordeaux and set up an office at 19 Quai de Bacalan – the group’s registered headquarters today – right at the heart of the legendary Chartrons district, the historic centre of activity of the Bordeaux wine merchants. At that time, the company was an acquisitions bureau which procured wines for the Sichel companies in Mainz, London and New York.
Ever since it was set up as a buying office in Bordeaux in 1883, Maison Sichel has remained, first and foremost, a family business. A vast selection of wines throughout France.
Tasting Notes
The nose unashamedly displays the cherry notes so typical of Pinot Noir with a spicy, even peppery touch. The fresh palate, nicely set off by hints of violet and berried fruit, is silky and supple, with elegant tannins extending all the way to the enticing finish.
